I recently completed my PhD at the University of Essex and I am now a post doctoral researcher working at Kings College London! I am a bioinformatician researching epigenetics, but in my spare time you'll find me in the gym or dancing!

I recently became Dr. Watson after researching for 3 years in the Skinner lab at Essex Uni. My academic interest is genomics, with my PhD research being reproductive genomics and my current work focused on cancers. In my free time you'll probably find me spending time with my two dogs, or in a pub.

I'm Tobias, and since graduating with an MSc studying the barbastelle bat, I have started working as a Science technician, leading the chemistry and biology for our 7 labs. When I'm not at work I look for bats in the summer and code little robots for fun.

I'm Jake, a second year PhD student from the Environmental Microbiology and Ecology Group. My studies are focused on oil degrading bacteria and how the use of chemical dispersants as a clean up tools impact their community and ability to degrade oil within a marine environment.

I’m a final year PhD student in Reeves lab, University of Essex. My work focuses on rhodopsin which is responsible for vision in low light. I study the effects of various mutations causing retinitis pigmentosa, a genetic disease resulting in the progressive onset of blindness at a young age.
